I'd avoid going more complex then this if the top 10 or 25 work for you. It's another level of complexity to have records self-calculate their rank related to each other.

Using Excel to create vocabulary list and importing to Anki flashcard program would be a better solution. Anki is lighter, faster and more efficient for learning.
